Newsletters: Embedded Images

We built our first extension plugin for the WordPress Newsletter plugin to expand it’s functionality and this specific extension is very useful to most (if not all) clients.

The Embed Images extension plugin was designed specifically to prevent image disabling in newsletters, eliminate all loading delay of images in HTML emails and ensure 100% reliability in email image delivery. The concept is revolutionary.

How the Embed Images extension works

In regular HTML emails, as you know it, when the user opens the email the images are loaded in the email from the server, a remote location in relation to the email or webmail client. These images are disabled in most cases by the client software and even when they are allowed/enabled, there is a delay in loading them. In some cases the connection to the remote source may even time out and show a blank space or red cross instead of an image.

With this extension, you are eliminating the issues mentioned above completely. The images are attached to the email and embedded into the content. The plugin handles the embedding part for you so you don’t change the way you create or send HTML emails. As a result, the emails are delivered to your subscribers and as the email is opened, the images show immediately without any prompts and without any delays. An effortless experience for your subscribers.

Thank you for your comment, Eli.

They show immediately, no action required even if the Gmail “Ask before displaying external content” setting is turned on and you have to usually click the allow/display images link.

With the Embedded Images extension the images are actually attachments and they are displayed immediately. It is a really great feature!
