Checkout – Newsletters Subscribers
This brand new plugin from our stable harmoniously brings together the WordPress Shopping Cart plugin and the WordPress Newsletter plugin with a great new feature that easily and simply allows online store owners to seamlessly subscribe their customers to one or more mailing list(s).
How Does It Work?
The Newsletters Subscribers Extension plugin for the WordPress Shopping Cart plugin places a checkbox in the checkout process that requests the customer to choose whether he/she wants to be subscribed or not. The checkbox can be selected or unselected by default (we of course suggest having it selected by default).
If the plugin is activated, the subscribe checkbox will automatically show on the Contacts step of the checkout procedure. If you are using the Guest Checkout Extension plugin, it will default to appear on the Shipping step and if no shipping is available for the order, it will default to the Billing step.
Settings such as activation by email (double opt-in) or not are inherited from the Newsletter plugin, so the Newsletters Subscribers Extension plugin is very simple to install and configure.
What is Needed?
For this harmonious interaction, all you need are the following:
- The WordPress Shopping Cart plugin
- The WordPress Newsletter plugin
- The Newsletters Subscribers Extension plugin
You don’t have the Shopping Cart plugin yet? Or the Newsletter plugin? Tsk, tsk… all is not lost though, since you can get either or both right here by clicking on the relevant link(s) above.
