WordPress Shopping Cart plugin v1.6.6

The WordPress Shopping Cart plugin v1.6.6 has been released with a set of great features, including support for extension plugins and many fixes/improvements to the software.

Feel free to read the detailed release notes before looking at some of the feature highlights in this new release of the WordPress Shopping Cart plugin:

New Feature Highlights

These are some of the new features in this release:

Simple Blue Theme

A beautiful new Simple Blue theme is available to use in the Shopping Cart plugin. It has blue elements with a clean, minimalistic interface. You can find this theme under Checkout > Configuration > General > Theme & Custom CSS.

Support for Extension Plugins

We have added support for extension plugins to the Shopping Cart plugin which will add functionality to the plugin. You can view all extensions, each with it’s status under Checkout > Extensions in the plugin.

We are currently working on a range of extensions to add exclusive functionality to the Shopping Cart plugin but we released four extensions with our launch of this new feature:

Order/Sort and Drop Down Shipping Methods

You can order/sort the order in which shipping methods are displayed to your customers during checkout. This can be done under Checkout > Shipping Methods with a drag/drop interface.

Additionally, you can display shipping methods either as radio buttons or as a select drop down menu. This can be configured under Checkout > Configuration > Tax & Shipping > Global Shipping Configuration.

Variation Options Thumbnails

We have added thumbnail support to variation options so that you can upload an image to each individual product variation option. These images enlarge with the Colorbox overlay or alternatively you can configure them to use the Zoom Gallery extension for a zoom effect.

Variation options can be configured under Checkout > Configuration > Products & Images > Product Variations & Options.

      @Donald,

      Thank you for your comment.

With the Zoom Gallery extension plugin, you can do this.
      The extension is here: http://tribulant.com/extensions/view/4/zoom-gallery
You’ll configure under Checkout > Configuration > Products & Images > Product Variations.

You can add images to variation options.
On the product pages, they will show thumbnails.
And these thumbnails will them zoom with a zoom window.

Was interested in purchasing the cart bundle but for a $500 fee, I was a bit concerned that the questions above were never answered. I’ll bet that this post will not be here shortly…
