Affiliate Program

As some of you may know from our previous newsletters, we have mentioned an internal referral system in the past. As of now, we have an official affiliate program for all of you to start using. We are looking forward to all users signing up, referring sales and most of all revealing statistics on the 15th of June as we do our first payout!

The sign up is really easy with immediate/automatic activation and takes less than 5 minutes. Most of the most common questions are already on the FAQ but here is a quick rundown:

  • As a new affiliate you will get a $1 signup bonus.
  • 10% commission for all sales referred.
  • 5% for level 2 referrals. Meaning, if you refer someone who becomes an affiliate and they refer sales to us, you indirectly get 5% for each of those sales as well.
  • We provide support to all your referrals to ensure that they are satisfied. You can just point them to our helpdesk.
  • Payouts done via PayPal at the moment to keep things simple. As we grow, we may implement more payout methods upon request if needed.
  • We have provided few software boxes and banners for those who wish to generate sales from their site. We are in the process of designing more.
  • Payouts are done on the 15th of each month, considering that you have made at least $50 in affiliate commission.
  • You refer sales, we pay! As simple as that.

We have the best WordPress plugins in their market field. You are guaranteed to refer sales because the products are good and people don’t need to be convinced, they just need to be introduced to them. Some people already refer their friends and colleagues so now they can get something in return for it.

To give you an idea. Our top selling products are the WordPress Newsletters plugin and WordPress Shopping Cart plugin. They both sell for $49.99 for a single license and $249.99 for a developer license. You will get $5 for each single license sale referred and $25 for each developer license sale referred.

November ’09 Newsletter

Once again we have reached the end of November and it’s time to put out the newsletter.

Finally we have caught up with the backlog and I’m happy to announce that all our products are now compliant with WordPress 2.8.6. As our regular readers will remember in many of the apps the problems were caused by some major changes that were made to the core of WordPress when version 2.8 was released. It has taken a lot of hard work on the part of the Tribulant team to catch up with these changes. Thankfully, this is now done and we can now concentrate on further development and improvement to our products. The last of our products to be upgraded to WordPress 2.8 was Custom Fields.

By the looks of it, WordPress 2.9 doesn’t seem to pose too many major threats and moving over to WordPress 2.9 with our plugins shouldn’t be a problem but please wait for an announcement from us as a green flag.

WordPress Checkout Plugin v1.3 Released

wordpress-checkout-plugin

We have just uploaded v1.3 of the WordPress Checkout plugin to Tribulant Software and it is still warm as it is lying in your downloads management section, waiting to be downloaded.

For some of us (yes I use the shopping cart as well) the wait for a new release has been painfully long and overdue. We have taken the time to put a few neat upgrades and new features in this release. The were two major problems that needed to be addressed, firstly WordPress changed there core code and many of you who automatically upgraded from WP 2.7 to 2.8 found “Save” buttons missing in the Dashboard Section of the Cart. In my earlier blog I mentioned in detail the steps that were being put in place such as the helpdesk support system and during August we hoped that we would be able to get a release. I then went on leave for two weeks leaving Antonie hard at work. On my return in the middle of October I began final testing. Antonie is a big fan of his Mac and Firefox but when the cart hit a Windows or Linux platform more bugs were found. This time with regard to IE8. Finally after long days and evenings we decided to release version 1.3 and with it we felt that with the added features Shopping Cart had grown up and deserved a name change hence Checkout.
