This update of the WordPress banner rotator plugin introduces the integration with WordPress 2.8 and several other fixes/improvements to the package overall. The package includes updates notifications in the “Plugins” panel, a new administration menu icon, fading of banner ads upon periodic Ajax refresh and much more. I’m always extremely excited when posting about new features and software ideas. Some of the Tribulant plugins have come a long way and evolved into powerful, essential tools to many of you. Yet, all the packages have the potential of going a few steps further and reaching a new level.

Right now, I’m announcing the availability of a very useful feature when you use our banner rotator plugin and newsletter plugin together. With the conjunction of our WordPress Newsletters Plugin and WordPress Banner Rotator Plugin you can send out newsletters to your subscribers and embed banner ads inside of these newsletters in order to earn some extra revenue for your business through advertising.

A new version (2.2) of the WordPress Banner Rotator Plugin is now available for download. This new version mainly introduces a new framework, database structure, model names and focuses on stability, reliability and usability. The only new feature in comparison to the previous version is unlimited sidebar widgets. Please feel free to check out the full change log of v2.2.
